State of Green’s white paper launch during NYC Climate Week 2023, the largest annual climate event of its kind.

New white paper examines the fuel shift to green hydrogen

In Denmark, green hydrogen is seen as a prerequisite for producing hydrogen derivatives like e-methanol, e-ammonia, and e-kerosene, which are crucial for decarbonising hard-to-electrify industries and heavy transportation.

To ensure a cost-effective, large-scale, and steady distribution of green hydrogen nationwide and beyond, Denmark aims to connect its hydrogen sector to Europe, thus ensuring that the promises made in Esbjerg and Ostend to ramp up renewable power production will result in a number of electrofuels.

To this, Danish partners excel in many facets of the value chain and aim to play a crucial role in speeding up the fuel shift by leveraging experiences and technical expertise from a determined national pursuit of energy efficiency, system integration, and renewable energy generation since the 1970s.

Examining how Denmark is geared to impact the next chapter, our brand-new white paper takes the reader chronologically through the fundamental value chain for green hydrogen. Spanning from renewable energy production, electrolysis and hydrogen derivatives to sector integration and the utilisation of hydrogen and hydrogen-based products, the publication offers Danish perspectives on how to establish a self-sustaining global market.

Featuring insights from 78 national and global partners the white paper highlights collaborative learnings en route to decarbonising hard-to-electrify sectors and paving the way for widespread green hydrogen application.
